NBA Obsessed takes you into the hit and run game of NBA Basketball.
Maybe my future is reading my mind, if that is even possible on both counts, for me to have a future, that is a joke, and for me to have a mind, my mind thinks that is a joke, not my mind, but…hey?!? Where is this going? Today we were doing the sport talk thing at work and the idea of LeBron going free agent and joining Dwyane Wade came up and like wow, how could that happen? That is when my mind blew a major fuse. Would they just hand Miami the next 5 NBA Championship trophies or something?
There would be plenty of smiles if LeBron James and Dwyane Wade end up on the same team
Don’t think it could happen? Well, LeBron and Dwyane are good enough friends that LeBron is Dwyane Wade’s son’s favorite player and they actually talk to each other on the phone. Now what do you think?
Wade can’t even fathom what would happen in the house should he and James, who can become free agents this summer, end up on the same team. Wade and James discussed the possibility earlier this season but have ceased to fuel that fantasy.
For now, they are focused on continuing the remarkable moments as opponents.
The Heat (23-20) has won two in a row and three of four, with the wins by an average of 28.3 points. A blowout isn’t likely Monday, but a victory would be a major boost as the Heat prepares for another tough trip.
“We have to continue that,” Coach Erik Spoelstra said of Miami’s solid play since that 39-point debacle at Charlotte on Wednesday. “I think our guys can look at each other in the locker room without putting their head down.”
Cleveland (34-11) has the best record in the East and enters riding a four-game victory streak. The rivalry with Miami has been evenly matched, with the Cavs holding an 11-9 edge since Wade and James met as rookies during the 2003-04 season.
James has averaged 28.9 points, Wade has scored 27.6 and each has topped 40 points four times in those games.

Could this happen? Both players are free agents at the end of the season and Miami would have to clear the decks to have cap space. Most likely the players would go to a new team so they are not the guy on the other guy’s team. But what if they did both sign with Miami? Don’t know if that is even possible for the Heat, but think about it for a minute. Cleveland has failed to surround LeBron with players and Miami has failed to surround Wade with players, maybe they could take their show on the road to a team with tons of cap space like the pitiful New Jersey Nets? The Nets have Devin Harris and Brook Lopez, both good young players that would fit in well with Wade and James.
The Celtics put Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce together late in their careers and won. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are still young. It could be awesome!
